Our history curriculum helps pupils develop a deep understanding of the UK’s past and key civilizations from around the world.

Lessons are carefully sequenced to build knowledge, vocabulary and chronological understanding over time, using reading anthologies, timelines and primary and secondary sources.

Pupils are encouraged to ask questions, think critically and analyse evidence, exploring the lives, achievements and legacies of people across history.

By the end of their time at Nether Edge, children can confidently articulate their knowledge, understand chronology, and evaluate historical sources independently.
