Overview

Our PE curriculum develops a lifelong love of physical activity while promoting healthy lifestyles, teamwork and resilience.

Lessons are carefully sequenced to build skills progressively across running, jumping, throwing and catching, competitive games, dance, and balance, flexibility and control.

Children develop technical abilities, tactical understanding and confidence, applying their skills in team games, problem-solving challenges and creative dance activities.

Oracy is embedded in lessons, with opportunities to explain strategies, reflect on performance and develop sporting vocabulary.

Pupils also have the opportunity to join after school sports clubs, allowing them to extend skills, demonstrate fair play, resilience and teamwork, and experience success in a variety of sports.
